Tailgater Scoreboard
The mission of this project is to design and produce a portable, battery-powered LED scoreboard for outdoor use. This scoreboard will be marketed for tailgaters to use when playing typical tailgate games (cornhole, for example), but the scoreboard could also be mounted indoors over a ping-pong table or anywhere a competition can take place.
Objectives
Working scoreboard includes:
- color-changing LEDs for team customization
- wireless remote
- renewable power source (integration in v2.0)
- versatile mounting system
Motivations
Too many games of cornhole where every player and observer has forgotten the score. Market research produces many variations of wooden score-keeping devices but nothing worth mounting on a wall or bringing to the beach.
