Lightweight Quadcopter

This project is to build an open source light weight quad copter in the style of the LiteWing DIY. Your team is responsible for design, fabrication and flight controller coding of the system.

Objectives


  • PCB design for drone
  • Software for the flight controller that least can keep the drone from drifting no further than 1 meter in 10 seconds.
  • Software for the flight controller that allows a user to fly/move the drone in 3 dimensions
  • A robust repository with proper opensource licensing for electronic and software distributions.

Motivations


Creating an opensource implementation at OSU could allow for expansion of OSU clubs and projects in the quadcopter domain.
