Entrepreneurship Competition: Modular Effects Guitar Amp

Design and construct a Guitar Audio Amplifier that incorporates an amplifier circuit, a speaker, an enclosure, and a set of Audio Effects circuits into one complete unit.

The user takes an instrument such as a guitar or bass, connects the instrument to the Amp with a ¼" Audio cable, turns the unit power switch on, and manipulates the various switches and knobs that control the different Effects circuits to achieve a desired sound while playing their instrument.

The effects pedals will be individually controlled by the user, such that any effect in the chain can be enabled/disabled and adjusted independently of the others.

Objectives

1 functional unit: A music amplifier for electric instruments like the guitar or bass. The finished unit will include the speaker, the amplifier, the power cable, the integrated pedal chain system, and the enclosure.

Motivations

This project is proposed to create more options for musicians with their music gear, and to test the viability of built-in / integrated modular pedal chains in audio amplifiers.

The finalized product will allow a musician to utilize a handful of audio effects (such as Fuzz, delay, tremolo, compression, etc.) without having to transport and set up a separate pedal board, as the product will be an All-In-One design.
