An Interactive Web application for understanding and reducing toxic exposures in homes and offices
Pure Living wants to offer our clients the ability to visually go through their homes and evaluate their environment and furnishing from the typical toxic to a more non-toxic approach. The last OSU team generated an application that lets you “walk” through your home or office with a mouse and gives you information regarding options for both testing and safe substitutions. The LLM is functional and the program should be taken to the next level which would be more interactive ( think a cool bot) with a higher level of information and next steps to take for our clients.
Objectives
The focus is to bring the project, a visual guild, based on our LLM to be 1st. Easier to modify, with more links, 2. More interactive to include next steps for the clients and 3. more fun to use !! We have a working platform from previous OSU interns currently deployed. We want the visual guide to help our clients easily understand how to identify where and how to change the potentially toxic materials in their homes. Let's expand the LLM to other areas of the home with a new skin on the LLM to allow for easier input and automated debugging. Currently, the LLM covers the LR/BR/KIT/DR areas exclusively. Let's build on the excellent starting work that incorporates static room images. The learning will be a combination of visual AI training, modifying the LLM, adding a layer to allow for easier modification to the web application. and if time permits the addition of a bot to lead the client through the process would be awesome !i
Motivations
The overwhelming number of us, 97% or more, have a measurable level of toxic chemicals in our bodies, from birth, seriously ! Is it any wonder that people are getting ill at earlier ages and not functioning as well? We all have the ability to make changes in our environment with clear scientifically validated data. We know that even minor changes can positively impact our health. At Pure Living, we want to make the process as easy as possible for everyone, without having to have a toxicology degree !
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for wanting to visualize the problem and offer solutions coupled with a good CS understanding translating to an interactive process generating better health outcomes while having fun and a learning AI based modeling !
Preferred Qualifications:Good UI/UX, some LLM exposure, and visual interface understanding.
