Hello, Engineering 103 class. My final project for this course was a human sensor. With using the ultrasonic distance sensor and my esp32 in my final project I was able to count the number of persons who passed by my room over the course of a day. In this experiment, I placed my sensor in a 106 cm wide hallway, and whenever that space was crossed, a person was counted. I gathered data for a ten-minute high and low for every 10-minute period for up to 24 hours. I counted 193 persons passing through my hallway in total during the course of 24 hours, with a high of 20 and a low of 0. The average for the 10 minutes was around 1.35 people.
