This project is part of the Retro Electronics Club 2019-20 yearly club effort. This project aims to bring the warm Soviet glow of Nixie Tubes into the homes of all that invite it. This project delivers a simple, easy to assemble PCB that allows for a genuine Soviet Nixie Tube experience for about $100. This PCB is powered by an external 24W power supply. The onboard power converter steps up the 12VDC input to the 175VDC necessary to drive the Nixie Tubes. The six Nixie Tubes are in a multiplexed arrangement, allowing for the use of only a single Nixie Driving IC (a SN74141), which allows us to keep our cost down. All of the internal logic is handled by an Arduino Nano for simplicity.
