PC Controlled DC Power Supply with Heat Sensor - Team 10-ECE342-W23

The objective of this project is to create a PC Controlled DC Power Supply with 2 output channel using an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller that fulfills the provided engineering requirements. The system includes a voltage regulator PCB for each output channel that takes in a set input voltage of 20 volts and a PC user input which programs the output voltage using the digital potentiometer based on user input. Additionally, a heat sensor is included that turns off the voltage regulators if a temperature that is greater than or equal to 55 degrees Celsius was detected. The output voltage and current is then displayed on an LCD. Future improvements for this project would be implementing a more accurate voltage output at higher voltages through a different choice in digital potentiometers and resistor values. Additionally, adding more aesthetic components such as screwing the components done instead of use of tape and also adding a removable lid from the exterior.
