Problem Solving

The OSU 2019-2020 AIAA MAV team is dedicated in designing a small coaxial helicopter worthy enough to compete in the annual VFS MAV Competition. The Electrical Engineering subteam was challenged to design and implement a robust flight control system capable of achieving hover stability while carrying dense payloads, and data processing from the onboard electronics. This project contains custom built Flight Control and Power Management PCBs and integrating both custom and open-source firmware to interface with a Teensy 4.0 microcontroller used for serial communication, data computation, and PWM generation for the mini helicopter.
