EECS Community of Practice Mentor Matching Site

Students attending Oregon State University, in the EECS programs, are looking for a way to connect with mentors who have more experience in their fields of interest. For example, students are looking for guidance in their technical fields of interest such as engineering, and may also seek guidance for their professional growth. However, for students, finding a mentor to provide the guidance they need is challenging as it always requires them to know who to ask first. This often leads to rejection, but even when it doesn’t, finding a mentor the student can relate to adds another layer of complexity to this issue. This site is intended to help facilitate the successful establishment of mentor-to-mentee relationships through a specially designed algorithm that takes into account their interests, as well as their demographics.
