Sumo Robot

Junior Design Project The goal of this robot was to locate a block of wood inside a small sumo ring and push the block of wood outside the ring while the robot itself should stay inside the ring. This was accomplished using two distance sensors to detect the block, telling the robot when to power each motor to accurately turn towards the robot. Rotary encoders were used to accurately track the movement of the robot and for precision turns. A color sensor was placed on the bottom of the robot to detect when the robot had reached the edge of the sumo ring. An OLED display was used to display data from the sensors and encoders to the user.
