ENGR 103 Final Project

For my final project, I chose to measure the temperature of my room for 24 hours. I measured the area by my desk because that is where I spend the most time while I am in my room. I used a thermistor and Arduino to measure the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and had it run while connected to my computer which was plugged in for a full day. All of the data I collected was put into an excel sheet and I was able to draw a few conclusions from it. I found that throughout the day, the temperature rose and peaked around 5 pm. It began to fall after that and was at its lowest at around 6 am. From this data I concluded that it was best to work at my desk between the hours of 2-4 pm or 8-10 pm because that is when the temperature is not too hot or cold. I also found that the data points showed more variability from the time where I was at my desk which makes more sense because I was moving around and probably impacted the readings.
