Our product is the infinity cube, which is a cube of one-way mirrors with LEDs lining the inner edges, creating an infinity effect. The goal of the product is to function as a unique piece of art that a customer could display on a desk or shelf. The cube works by having one-way mirrors that have the reflective side face inside the cube, along with LEDs that run across the edges of the cube. Some functions implemented in the cube are Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity that can be used to change LED modes, the cube's brightness, and stream audio over Bluetooth. While designing this project, our main challenge was ensuring that the infinity effect of the cube as visible as possible under most light environments. To achieve this goal, we extensively researched possible LEDs, and one way mirrors to determine the best possible solution. With this research, we found a combination of LEDs and mirrors that creates the effect we want while maintaining the affordable price of the cube.
