The intended purpose of this project is to design a motor-driven vertical-sliding electric pet door with traditional hall-effect sensing and extra audio indication. For people with a pet, this project is practical and considerable. An intelligent electric pet door increases the pet's life experience from various aspects, including the pet's health, the safety of your pet, convenience, and the condition of your home. Wide technologies consist of magnetic sensing, C++, SD card recording, audio amplifier circuitry, PCB design, and mechanical enclosure to cooperate. In the past, the speaker always generates high and low-frequency noise from electrical components on the circuit; the effect is tremendous if we don't solve that. A mechanical enclosure full of artistic and fashion sense is another challenge. This locking system can withstand 30lbs of force and handle shaking and still functioning normally. The CPU is programmable by the user via adjusting code functionality on Arduino IDE. Pet opens and closes the electric door each time by triggering the hall effect sensor successfully. We will consider a smarter PCB layout, enclosure material, latch, open-way, and proximity sensor for the next generation.
