Electronic Pet Door 3 ECE342-W22

An electronic pet door that is intended to be opened without human intervention, with specified lock times customized by the user. It is implemented through PIR sensors, an Arduino Mega that contains all of the code necessary to run the peripherals, a PCB shield for the Mega, as well as a seven segment clock to display the time. One of our most notable accomplishments is getting the mechanical parts of the system to function, namely the pulley system that raises and lowers the door. If we had the chance to improve a part of the project, we would explore other ways to implement the PCB or use a different mechanism to lift the door.
