The Automated, Battery Powered, Rechargeable Bicycle Lights with an IP65 waterproofing, three feet drop impact proof, and light weight design is an engineered system that takes bike safety and gives it an intelligent high level upgrade to bring bicyclist a safer way to commute. The system implemented performs functions that include a dashboard that allows the user to control the left and right turn signals using a toggle switch that will output the front and back corresponding turn signal light inputted then automatically switch the turn indicator off once 15ft after a turn completion has been detected by the systems orientation module implementation. The dashboard also provides information about the battery status by displaying to the user a colored light indicating battery level. The system also has an automated brake light system that will increase the brightness of the brake light as the user comes to a complete stop. The biggest achievements being the brake system implementation and the battery life. The main challenges being the workability with Neopixels and the 1000 lumen output requirement.
