Final Project

For my final project, I decided to record the temperature of an economy triple dorm room in Cauthorn Hall. I was curious to see how different the temperature was between a room on the fourth floor and a room on the first floor. To do this, I created code that took a temperature reading every second and every ten minutes, took the average and printed me a maximum and minimum value. By gathering data over a 24 hour span, I was able to gather enough data to compare with a friend who lived on the first floor. I was able to conclude that my room had a more consistent average than the room on the first floor but the first floor had a greater temperature range. The temperature range of my room went from a low of about 61 degrees to a high of approximately 70. When comparing my data to my friend's I noticed that his temperature range was significantly bigger with a low of 58 degrees and a high of 85. Based off this data, I drew the conclusion that the first floor is more susceptible to temperature changes as a day goes by while the fourth floor stays at relatively the same temperature throughout the day.
