The purpose of this project is to remind people of their personal belongings before leaving the house. The system is built as a bowl to hold certain items such as phones, wallet, headphones, etc. Multiple items can be placed on the system and can let the user know what exactly is forgotten by memorizing the weight of the item. Communication between the device and user is done over Wi-Fi and a web server for the user to access on a mobile device. Accomplishments from the team include creating a custom PCB with a functional microcontroller to process multiple items' weights. Another great accomplishment from the team is creating an asynchronous server and pairing it with an app for the user to be notified through their mobile devices. The team had little experience in creating an app and the team was able to successfully design something equivalent as a feature for the product. Challenges the team faced when developing the system include creating a functional app for the user to be notified when using the product. The team had low experience in creating an app but with enough time, the team was able to create a web server to run alongside the system.
