Custom Timer (002-3)- ECE342-S23

Arduino
Junior Design

The intended use of the system is to create a custom timer with a 7-segment display and a speaker using the Arduino UNO. This project aims to provide a versatile and user-friendly timer solution for various time intervals, allowing users to set timers for durations ranging from 10 seconds to 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 1 hour. The system also features a speaker that emits a sound when the timer reaches zero. Key technologies implemented in this project include the Arduino UNO microcontroller board, the 7-segment display for visual feedback, and a speaker for auditory alerts. Three buttons are used to control timer settings, start the timer, and adjust display brightness. The development of a working timer system that includes both visual and audible feedback is this project's most remarkable success. Despite difficulties, I took the initiative and started working on the PCB design alone even though my partner was initially in charge of it. The completion of the PCB design and its integration into the system would represent a substantial advancement. The project's dependability would increase, and its overall attractiveness would be enhanced. The timer might also become even more adaptable and user-friendly by investigating other changes like adding extra functionality or developing a more simplified user interface.
