Seat Check: IoT Car seat

The proposed project aims to develop a comprehensive child safety monitoring system for vehicles. The system's intended use is to provide crucial information to the vehicle's driver and emergency contacts, ensuring the well-being of a child seated in a car. It will address concerns such as whether the child is properly latched in the car seat, if the child has been left unattended in the vehicle, and monitoring the car's temperature if the child is unsupervised inside the car. Key technologies implemented in this project would include sensor technology, wireless communication, and data analysis algorithms. The main device will be attached to the car seat base, while sensors will be placed underneath the car seat to gather the required information accurately. The most notable accomplishments of this system would include real-time monitoring of child safety parameters, immediate notifications to the driver and emergency contacts in case of any detected issues, and ensuring the child's safety. Challenges for future improvement may involve enhancing the accuracy and reliability of the distance tracker, integrating the system with existing vehicle safety features, and further optimizing the Bluetooth communication protocols to minimize latency and ensure seamless operation.
